Academics
Redeemer Classical Academy is...
Grammar School: K-5
This stage of learning focuses on the fundamentals. Because young students’ minds function like sponges with the ability to soak up a great deal of information, there is emphasis on exposure to facts in this stage of learning. Teaching methods such as singing, chanting, and recitation are utilized when presenting facts, appealing to children in this age range. Hands-on projects are also utilized in the grammar stage to provide greater opportunity for discovery.
Kindergarten is a half-day program.
Logic School: 6-8
The logic stage is when students begin to hone in their study and research skills. They go from asking "what?" to "why?" and "how?". Building on their strong foundation of the grammar stage, students become analysts. Omnibus, logic, and composition classes are introduced in order to prepare minds for what is to come in the next stage of learning.
Rhetoric School: 9-12
Rhetoric students are challenged to master the art of persuasion with virtue and excellence. While Rhetoric and Senior Thesis classes are the quintessential classes of this stage, all academic classes are taught at an honors level with an emphasis on self motivation. Every RCA graduate receives a diploma with the knowledge that they have been set up for success in the collegiate setting.
