Our Story

Redeemer Classical Academy was formed out of an abiding passion to provide the benefits of a robust Classical education to the families of the greater Rutherford County area. In June 2013, a dedicated group of parents and teachers decided to start a new school. A mere 81 days later, RCA opened with students enrolled in K-12th grade and selected the oak tree as the symbol of the school. Redeemer students are known as "The Mighty Oaks"!

Redeemer Classical Academy's mission is to mentor young people toward virtue as learners, leaders, and agents of redemption for God's glory.

Distinctives

Christian

RCA is dedicated to Christ-centered learning. As an ecumenically diverse student body, we seek a "mere Christianity" approach to theological truth, practically achieving this through a weekly chapel service.

Classical

RCA is a classical school and a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools and the Society of Classical Learning. We utilize the ancient model of education by dividing students into the grammar, logic, and rhetoric schools. This classical approach instructs with a focus on the liberal arts, Western civilization, and the great books in order to instill virtue.

Collaborative

RCA is a collaborative effort. Teachers and parents work alongside one another to educate and enrich student life. Families are encouraged to instill within children the virtues and habits they are working on at school in the home as well.
